The Bridgefy SDK is easily integrated into new or existing mobile apps, and makes them work without needing an Internet connection. Instead of using the Internet, information travels directly from device to device using the devices’ Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas. There can be a distance of up to 100 meters (330 feet) between two devices:

If you need to reach someone that is further away than this distance, then information “hops” on other devices until it reaches your intended recipient, like this:

This information can be shared privately between two people, without devices in the middle having access to the information, like this:

Information can also be broadcast to multiple people around you in a matter of seconds, using the same distribution methods as the previous type of message but in this case, everyone that receives the message can read it, like this:

The following types of information can be transferred through Bridgefy mesh networks:

• Text messages
• Alerts and pings that can make sounds go off on other devices, or turn their flashlight on
• Images
• Locations on maps
• Game moves for turn-based games
• Payments (in most cases, requires at least one device to have an Internet connection, which is also possible using Bridgefy. See the “Hybrid Mesh Networks” section below.)
• Database synchronization
